With its strategic location, well-established industrial ecosystem, and strong research
capabilities, Taipei has emerged as one of the most competitive technology and
biotechnology hubs in Asia. The National Biotechnology Research Park, the Nangang
Software Park, and the Neihu Technology Park together form a high-value industrial
cluster, attracting top global enterprises and research institutions. This integration
fosters innovation and positions Taipei as a key driver of industrial advancement in the
region.

                      National Biotechnology Research Park

The National Biotechnology Research Park is Taipei’s first biotech-focused innovation hub,
integrating research, incubation, clinical trials, and pilot production. The Park provides
a comprehensive platform for biotech R&D and commercialization. To date, more than
50 biotech enterprises have committed to establishing operations in the park, covering
areas such as new drug development, smart healthcare, advanced medical devices, and
cell therapy. The Park is expected to generate more than NT$50 billion in biotech industry
output, positioning Taipei as a regional leader in biotechnology and medical innovation.

                      Nangang Software Park

The Nangang Software Park plays a pivotal role in Taipei’s high-tech and smart industries. As
an intelligent industrial park, it specializes in IC design, digital creativity, biotechnology, and
cultural innovation. Its strategic location close to major exhibition and cultural venues such
as the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center and the Taipei Music Center, as well as top research
institutions such as Academia Sinica, National Taiwan University, and National Chengchi
University, offers exceptional opportunities for academic-industry collaboration.

                      Neihu Technology Park

The Neihu Technology Park is Taiwan’s first metropolitan science park and serves as a
critical cluster for technology development in northern Taiwan. It is home to more than
6,500 enterprises, covering industries such as information technology, digital content,
and biotechnology. Renowned international companies such as Lite-On, Compal, BenQ,
Advantech, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Hon Hai Technology Group, have set
up their headquarters or R&D centers within the park. The success of the Neihu Technology
Park can be attributed to its prime location, complete technology supply chain and highly
skilled workforce. With over 220,000 professionals and an annual corporate revenue
exceeding NT$5.4 trillion, it is a key driver of Taipei’s economic growth.
