A City Shaped by the Seasons

Taipei has a subtropical monsoon climate with four
distinct seasons, shaped by its unique geography. Spring
and autumn are the most pleasant, with temperatures
ranging from 20°C to 25°C and minimal rainfall—perfect
for outdoor activities. Summers are hot and humid, with
average temperatures above 30.5°C, frequent afternoon
thunderstorms, and occasional typhoons. In winter,
the weather turns cool and damp. Influenced by the
northeast monsoon and surrounding hills, Taipei often
sees steady rain, with temperatures typically between
12°C and 18°C.
