The City’s Heritage District
In Taipei’s heritage districts, history lives on in every scent and stone. From temple
festivals and red-brick alleys to century-old tea shops and pharmacies, tradition
continues to shape everyday life.
Dadaocheng
Dadaocheng was once Taipei’s trading hub, and its streets
are still filled with the aromas of tea, incense, and traditional
goods. Centuries-old shops stand side by side with new
creative brands, blending the old with the new. The area is
also home to cultural landmarks such as the Taipei Xia-Hai
City God Temple, Dadaocheng Cisheng Temple, and Shin
Hong Choon Tea.
