Taipei Marathon

Every December, the Taipei Marathon unites over
28,000 runners from around the world in one of Asia’s
premier road races. Recognized as a World Athletics
Gold Label event, it is one of the most prestigious
marathons in the region—not only for its competitive
standards but also for its scenic urban route that
passes landmarks such as the National Theater &
Concert Hall and Taipei Stadium.

The Taipei Marathon not only leads the pack
in competition, but also sets the standard for
sustainability. It is the wor ld’s first marathon to
receive BSI ISO 14067 carbon footprint verification—a
milestone that highlights Taipei’s strong commitment
to hosting environmentally friendly events on the
global stage.
